Rivet 是基于 Actor 模型的 Agent 编排器，单 Actor 仅 72KB 内存、P99 冷启动 4.99ms，SQLite 直连 S3 实现 SSD 级持久化。对需要海量长连接 Agent 的场景，这可能是目前成本最低的基建方案。

做实时 Agent 的团队之前要么用 Cloudflare Workers 但受限于 V8 隔离和状态持久化，要么自研基于 Firecracker 的轻量 VM 但冷启动和内存成本下不来。Rivet 的 trick 是共享 Node/Bun 进程而非 sandbox，用 S3 做 SQLite 的 block device 而非传统文件同步，把 idle 成本打到零。
如果你在做游戏 NPC、实时客服、或 IoT 设备孪生这类需要百万级常驻连接的场景，现在普遍用 Redis + 容器或 Supabase Realtime，Rivet 的 actor-per-entity 模型和 hibernate 机制值得对比测试。Rust runtime 的支持也说明他们想在延迟敏感场景抢 Durable Objects 的市场。

Rivet is very cool. Switched a Cloudflare Durable Object piece of our infrastructure that lived in its own little fairy tale land to our own infra within the rest of our VPC. Was a very pleasant experience. Haven't had the chance to try Rivet v3 yet but hoping to get to it soon.
