This is a new paradigm for interacting with Claude that is significantly more "inline" with all the other human activity org-wide. Once you do all of the under the hood engineering work to make this "just work" (e.g. across tools, integrations, compute environments, memory, security, etc.), Claude basically joins the team in a seamless way - you can talk to it as you would talk to a person and it can help with a very large variety of workloads. Imo this is the 3rd major redesign of LLM UIUX. The first paradigm was that the LLM is a website you go to, the second was that it is an app you download to your computer. This third one is that it is a self-contained, persistent, asynchronous entity with org-wide tools and context, working alongside teams of humans. It really takes a while to wrap your head around it, but it works and it is awesome.

We’ve designed and built our first AI chip: Jalapeño. Designed from the ground up by OpenAI and brought to production with @Broadcom, Jalapeño is purpose-built for the LLM workloads powering ChatGPT, Codex, the API, and future agentic products. Chips are foundational to the AI economy. Building our own expands our full-stack platform from products to models to infrastructure, and will help us scale intelligence, serve more people, and expand access to AI.

We have a new version of GPT-5.5 Instant for you, and it's much more fun to talk to. Our most-used model is now better at understanding the intent behind a question and adapting its response accordingly. It also handles complex constraints more reliably and makes shopping and local recommendations more useful and cohesive. Rolling out today to paid users, tomorrow to free users.

I sent this to the entire team I’m currently working with. It’s a very good team, but they are still on a 10-year-old process with project managers that can’t read code, specialized developers, and a full QA team. I don’t think you can afford writing software using a 10-yo playbook.

What happens to society’s collective intelligence after two or three years of everyone outsourcing their thinking to a chatbot? How many orders of magnitude dumber are we going to get? Can we start talking about that yet, or nah?

Claude Code can parse the whole Internet using Apify actors. And with MCP connectors, you can talk to servers and have your agents perform operations behind paywalls. Example (see the video here): Analyze a YouTube video and write the summary in a Notion page. Another example: Scrape the school calendar and automatically add the events to your Google Calendar. You can do all of this using Claude Code + Apify Skills.
