I still don't understand the point of Ghostty, Kitty, Wezterm... Konsole is way faster than any of those on my computer and it has all the usual suspects I'd expect from a modern terminal emulator. I know for many folks they like the fact that it is cross platform (works on mac/linux) etc and gpu acceleration which is really nice to have.
Yeah, I recently tried out Kitty and Ghostty just feels much smoother when rendering most TUIs and even some more basic stuff like the homebrew progress bar. It is also better about respecting platform conventions for things like keybinds and window/tab behavior.
